Application Instructions
Students must complete the application for admission and scholarships form and submit a $50 nonrefundable application fee. Checks or money orders should be made out to the Boston Academy of Chinese Medicine.
Public Health Law 2165 requires academy students to present a complete record of two live immunizations against measles, and single immunization against mumps and rubella. Students born on or after January 1, 1957, must submit a complete immunization record signed by a health practitioner.
Photocopy of government-issued identification is required with the application form.
Applicants are required to submit an essay detailing their previous experience, future professional goals and how the program can help to achieve those goals. The recommended length is 250-500 words.
English language proficiency must be demonstrated by all students seeking admission to the program. The applicants are required to complete two years (60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) of baccalaureate or graduate level, English-based education in an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education. English must have been the language of instruction and the language of the curriculum used.
Or the applicants can take one of two approved examinations: 1) Test of English as a Foreign Language, Internet-Based Test (TOEFL® iBT). Acceptable scores: TOEFL iBT Total Score – 80 and TOEFL iBT Speaking Score – 26; or International English Language Testing System (IELTS). Acceptable scores: IELTS Overall Score 6.5 (Academic Format) and IELTS Spoken Band – 8.0.

Scholarships and Financial Aid
Complete applications by Aug. 1st for Fall admissions, Dec 1st for Spring admissions and Apr 1st for Summer admissions will receive priority consideration for direct entry to merit scholarship programs, or low-interest loans.
Eligibility is based on a high GPA; contributions made to the academic, demographic, or geographic diversity of Boston Academy of Chinese Medicine; and financial needs as determined by Boston Academy of Chinese Medicine.
Work-study opportunities are available to students with qualifications.
